David Vogeding, Director Emeritus

The Brevard choral arts audiences and the members of the Indialantic Chamber Singers (ICS) will always be grateful to David Vogeding for his vision.  David founded ICS in 1999 and since that time, he was the group’s Artistic Director, a position that he held  until 2013, when he retired.  During those years, he worked with ICS instilling in its ranks dedication and a desire for musical perfection.  He developed the Brevard audiences through careful programming and good community outreach.  During that time, he also served as Director of Music at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, thus the tight relationship between ICS and Eastminster, which still provides its facilities to the ICS for rehearsals and performances.  In his retirement, David still performs with various musical groups in the area.  The ICS is not only proud to have had the leadership and guidance of this excellent musician and director during its founding years, but is now delighted to count on his  participation in the chorus, where he not only contributes the gift of his voice and occasional organ performances, but where everyone can still enjoy his notorious wit.
